Continue

Add Odin v1 to the Continue extension for VS Code and JetBrains.

Continue reads models from config.yaml. Add Odin v1 with the openai provider and a custom apiBase.

1. Store your key

Put the key in ~/.continue/.env so it stays out of the config file:

INTERODIN_API_KEY=io-sk-your-key

2. Add the model

Edit ~/.continue/config.yaml:

name: My config
version: 1.0.0
schema: v1
models:
  - name: Odin v1
    provider: openai
    model: odin-v1
    apiBase: https://api.interodin.com/v1
    apiKey: ${{ secrets.INTERODIN_API_KEY }}
    roles:
      - chat
      - edit
      - apply
    capabilities:
      - tool_use
    defaultCompletionOptions:
      contextLength: 1000000

Reload Continue and pick Odin v1 in the model menu.

Good to know

  • Context length. Set contextLength to the context size on the Odin v1 page.
  • Autocomplete. Odin v1 reasons before it answers, which makes it slower than the small, fast models usually used for tab autocomplete. Keep it for chat, edit and agent use.
  • Images. Odin v1 is text-only, so don't add the image_input capability.
